The cold always makes me think of you.
our walk up to the bench on the hill.
when my hands went numb, you would push them into the rips of your jeans or engulf my frozen flesh with yours.
But you always looked at me with love,
When I looked at you with kindness.
To you I was the sun, the center of your universe. But to me?
you were just one of my moons.
And somehow I couldn't see the difference
I didn't understand until I felt her soft hands against my skin and suddenly I was warm.
At last.
She became my sun before I stopped being yours.
our walk up to the bench on the hill.
when my hands went numb, you would push them into the rips of your jeans or engulf my frozen flesh with yours.
